MSU Game & More PSU Players Charged with Felonies

So PSU blew a 21 point lead today to lose to Michigan State. In addition to pride, a chance to a mid tier bowl game (see Outback Bowl, Jan 1., Tampa, Fl), they also lost possession of this lovely piece of hardware:

Are you sure they didn't just throw this game? Who wants this piece of crap?

It was a pathetic game, folks. Up 24-7 at one point, PSU gave up 14 unanswered points. I won't bore you with the details, but when push came to shove, our QB, #14 (he who shall not be named), couldn't lead us to the endzone. On two possessions. But, to his credit, we did score 31 points. When your team scores 31 points you expect to win. Unless your D sux. Which ours did, and gave up 35 points. I'm happy I only have one more game to watch this season. This team has been nothing but a huge disappointment for most of the Nittany Nation as mentioned before. And on top of the loss, things keep looking better and better for this team. Let the good times roll!

Defensive tackle Chris Baker and linebacker Navorro Bowman were charged yesterday with brutally kicking and stomping a man while he was down during an October assault at the student center, leaving him injured and football players laying blame on one another. For those of you not familiar with the PSU football team and it's off-field antics, Chris Baker is also charged with some felony charges from that off campus fight in April. What a class act he is.

I could go into more detail, but I thought I would refer you to one of my favorite PSU bloggers: Run Up the Score (RUTS). I can't do justice to the situation like he has:

So friends and fellow Penn Staters, it looks like the Alamo Bowl if we're lucky. We'll get some Big 12 team to expose more weaknesses in our Defense and watch a mediocre at best offense. I'm just happy #14 is graduating. Now we just have to pray that Jay Paterno gets run out of Happy Valley too, but that's a different post for a different time.
