You, my friends are an educated audience. I don't have to tell you what's going on with Barry Bonds. The purpose of this post is simply to rejoice!

Let me comment on one other thing going on in the world of MLB: ARod. I'm not a huge fan of ARod's, or MLB for that matter. However... when a guy signs a contract for what, $275Mil over 10 years and I start to think of the poverty that surrounds Yankee Stadium, it just makes me sick. ARod, what are you doing for the community? Maybe he has the token charity (I'm not that up to date on what he does), but think about it. How much money does one guy need (especially when his wife stays with him after the stripper debacle and is not taking him to the cleaners in a big time divorce)? Top it off with the brilliant revenue sharing arrangement where he gets half of what the Yankees bring in as he gets closer to breaking Bond's "record*". I think that is a great deal for him, but again, how much money does one guy need?
I wish that half of the money that goes to pay arrogant, spoiled professional athletes (some that can't even speak English -- and I'm not talking about the MLB players from Central America & Japan) would just go to help the poverty stricken in our country. These guys play a game. For a living. And in many cases have the gall to complain. They don't have to think about where their next meal is coming from, or if they will have a warm coat this winter. They don't have to worry that they can't make next month's rent or mortgage payment. I think the world of professional sports needs a wake up call. If anyone knows how I can get this message to someone who cares, please drop me a line!
